Overview

This is a work on fiqh concerning the Friday prayer.  Shaykh Daud al-Fatani also addresses the issue of when it is valid to construct a second mosque for the Friday prayer in a town that already possesses one.  This seems so specific an issue that it must have been written in response to queries made by members of the community either in Mecca or from new students who were at the time of its completion first coming in significant numbers to the Haramayn to study with Shaykh Daud al-Fatani.
