Biographical Details: b. c. 1850, Kampung Perik (Ban Perik), d. pagi Juma, 15 Safar 1349 AH [12 Jul 1930 CE], in Mecca. He was taken to Mecca by his maternal grandmother, Halimah (who died soon after arriving), where he took up his studies. He remained there and dedicated his life to teaching until his death.
