Biographical Details: b. 1880, in Kampung Balur, near Kampung Tok Ketitir, Jambu, Patani. He married Semek, daughter of Tok Guru Pauh Bok. d. 1361/1942.
When he was still young, he studied at Pondok Chaok and afterwards studied at Pondok Sik in Kedah as well as unidentified pondok in Perak. He finally returned to Patani and opened a second pondok in Kampung Pauh Bok before going to Mecca where he studied for just two years. After his return, he opened a pondok in his birthplace of Kampung Balur, where he taught for 10 years until his death. He focused his teaching upon fiqh, employing books such as Munyat al-Musalli, Kashf al-Litham, and Bughyat al-Tullab.
