Biographical Details: b. c. 1900, Kampung Jambu, Patani. d. petang Selasa, 2 Aug 1977. He went to Kelantan in 1914/5 to study at Kuala Besut. He later went to Pondok Wakaf Nyior Kembar, in Kuala Terengganu, to study with Haji Mat Shafie. He then returned to Kuala Besut and continued his studies. He eventually opened a pondok at Jalan Jedok, Tanah Merah, which was later known as Pondok Lama. He published a copy of al-Fatawa al-Fataniyya, by Shaykh Ahmad al-Fatani.
