Muslim Scholars

Patani and its diaspora communities have produced, influenced, and inspired many ‘ulama and other learned scholars including writers, teachers, and scribes, especially since the early nineteenth century when mobile members of Patani communities built a network that reached from Mecca back to Patani and many other parts of Southeast Asia, South Asia, and to Malay-speaking communities in southern Africa.
