Biographical Details: b. 1895, in Kampung Sireh. His mother was Che Membunga. His grandfather, Haji ‘Isma’il, came from Kampung Laut. d. pagi Sabtu, 6 Jumada al-awwal 1376 AH [2 Dec 1956 CE], in Lorong Gajah Mati. He studied in Mecca, 1909-16. After his return, he studied at Pondok Tok Kenali.
