Biographical Details: He was the son of Shaykh Muhammad Salih b. ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Fatani and thus was the great-grandson of Shaykh ‘Abd al-Mubin al-Fatani, the quasi-legendary founder of Pondok Pauh Bok. He succeeded his father as the chief teacher at the school and later passed the position to his son, Muhammad Saman.
